Online vs In-Person Counseling

Online Counseling

Overview of Online or Remote Counseling

Online counseling, also referred to telehealth, or video counseling, involves conducting therapy sessions when the client and therapist are in different locations using technology. If appropriate for your needs, counseling may be provided through a single platform or a combination of platforms. I offer telehealth counseling services through two HIPAA compliant platforms, Orchid Exchange and Zoom. These sessions offer near in-person interaction, allowing visual cues and real-time communication. Insurance may cover these sessions.

In-Person Counseling

Sitting with someone in the same space is very helpful to folks who do not have appropriate technology, or who simply feel more comfortable in a more traditional approach to counseling. We are pleased to be able to serve you at our office location in Boone North Carolina at 703 West King Street – across from the post office. We are sharing space with Bright Eyes Eye Spa and Wellness Studio.
